Commission Members Present: Representatives Berg, Frederick, Her, Murphy, Nelson, O'Driscoll, and Rasmusson; Senators Frentz, Howe, Jasinski, Pappas, Rosen, and Senjem Commission Members Absent: Senator Rarick Agenda Items Approval of February 16, 2021, meeting minutes. Senator Jasinski moved approval of the February 16, 2021, meeting minutes. MOTION PREVAILED. Approval of actuarial assumptions for MSRS Correctional, Judges, Legislators, and State Patrol plans, and PERA Correctional and Police & Fire plans. Susan Lenczewski, Executive Director, Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement, reviewed the motion. Representative Murphy moved Motion LCPR21-M1. MOTION PREVAILED. Informational Overview - PERA disability process. Doug Anderson, Executive Director, and Amy Strenge, Policy Coordinator, Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA), testified and reviewed the PERA presentation. Chris Steward, Minneapolis police officer, testified on his experience with the PERA disability application and review process. Lindsay Herren, Minneapolis police officer, testified on her experience with the PERA disability application and review process. Beth Jordan, professional clinical counselor and former police officer and EMT, testified on her experience in general with her public safety clients and on the mental health and financial impacts of the disability application process has on those with PTSD. Five Minneapolis police officers, identified as individuals A through E, submitted written testimony. Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
